Robert Honeysucker Scholarship Fund

Picture
The Robert Honeysucker Scholarship Fund was established in memory of our beloved colleague Robert Honeysucker, whose contributions to the Longy community—as a teacher, performer, and union advocate—left an enduring legacy. In addition to his remarkable artistry and mentorship, Bob served on the LFU Executive Board and played a key role in the faculty’s collective bargaining efforts. His unwavering commitment to faculty, students, and the school as a whole was matched only by his kindness and generosity of spirit. This scholarship continues his work by supporting others in their own paths of musical growth.

The scholarship provides $500 to a member of the Longy Faculty Union or an immediate family member, preferably for purposes of music education or enrichment. The award is based on merit, with one recipient selected each year.
  • Application Deadline: January 1
  • Award Announcement: March 1
Applications should be submitted to the LFU Scholarship Selection Committee, chaired by the current LFU President and two appointed committee members. Questions about eligibility or the application process can be directed to the LFU Executive Committee.

Donations to the Honeysucker Fund are welcome and appreciated. Please make checks payable to Longy Faculty Union and contact the LFU Treasurer for donation instructions.
